Hello đź‘‹

I'm a research leader and mentor with hands-on experience building research teams that influence strategy and improve user experiences. Since 2007, I've led research for a wide variety of problem spaces, including healthcare, government, e-commerce, startups, social media, search products, and AI.

I'm also an Affiliate Faculty member at the University of Washington’s Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) department where I've been teaching graduate students in user-centered design, design thinking, usability testing, and web design since 2012.

I'm very proud to have achieved recognition for my dedication to the user experience field. I've earned awards from both professional organizations and universities. In 2015 I received the UX Community Leadership Award from UXPA Seattle, Puget Sound SIGCHI, and UX Happy Hour for my service to the Seattle user experience community. In 2016, I received the Myron L. White award from the University of Washington’s at Human Centered Design & Engineering program for my leadership in the field of user experience and commitment to my amazing students and colleagues in the department.

I earned my Master’s Degree in Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) at the University of Washington in 2011. Prior to that, I received a BA in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts, with a focus on design, printmaking, and art history, also from the University of Washington.Â
